To that end, I think that suits should apply a stacking stress debuff if worn for too long or have less oxygen. Additionally, working with space suit gloves is not easy. I know if I wore a space suit for more than a few minutes (knowing I can't touch my face), it would start itching. You never see a sci-fi space show where they wear suits for any more time than they have to, even if it were safer. We could probably technically survive if we wore space suits everywhere with a days worth of oxygen and not worry about things we are working on being to hot and avoiding disease spread and other environmental hazards, but that would be annoying and uncomfortable.
They trivialize worker safety.īut the benefits of wearing a space suit everywhere are unrealistic. Exosuits remove almost every hazard from the dupes with no consequence, solving every problem.
The issue in my eyes is that exosuits are massively overpowered and eclipse the usefulness of masks. They are highly useful due to their cheapness and can be used to easily avoid slimelung outbreaks (if you care about that).
